On March 14, the eight-day training course “From Rural to Plural – The power of non-formal education in rural areas” ended. It was designed for youth workers who are just beginning their journey in the field of non-formal education. The event brought together representatives of youth organizations from across Europe in the cozy town of Bran, Romania.
Among the participants were three Ukrainian women. Two of them are students of the Kremenchuk Humanities and Technology Academy, studying for their future careers in teaching. We believe that they have gained valuable experience and will be able to apply the knowledge they got in their future work with young people.

“The trip to the training course was dedicated to studying youth work with young people in rural areas, methods and ways of working, identifying the needs of young people and much more, and I cannot help but say that the sessions were very meaningful and deeply filled with a lot of both theoretical and practical information, which is relevant and important for understanding.
I was personally impressed by the preparation of the team of training organizers for work. The training sessions were always interesting, with different methods of work and taking into account our wishes and needs, and this always caused admiration.
I think that I will never forget the team of people I trained with, the incredible trainers who always helped and every cultural evening that allowed me to immerse myself in different countries and feel their atmosphere. And I think that at the moment the content of the training sessions is sufficient for understanding the main topics of the project and completing the tasks, because all the information provided was not just theory. It was always supported by practical experience and examples.
I believe that everyone who is interested in working with youth and non-formal education should attend this training course at least once and experience and accept all the emotions and knowledge it provides. This is an incredible opportunity to become part of different cultures, different worlds in one room for a while and become part of a rich and interesting learning experience that is guaranteed to be useful in later life.”

“I had the opportunity to attend a training in Romania, and it was an extraordinary experience! For several days, we immersed in the topic of formal and non-formal education, researching their features, advantages and disadvantages. There was a lot of work in groups, interesting discussions and practical tasks that helped to understand the topic more deeply. I was especially memorable for interactive activities that not only entertained, but also developed critical thinking, teamwork and communication skills. We exchanged experiences, learned from each other and gained valuable knowledge that we would definitely need in the future. In addition to learning, this training gave me many pleasant acquaintances and unforgettable moments. A new country, new people, an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual support – all this made the experience even more vivid and inspiring.

“The “From Rural to Plural” training was a unique experience that provided a deeper understanding of how different communities function and how we can support their integration and development. We explored communication methods, intercultural dialogue, and effective project management. What surprised me the most was the openness of the participants and the opportunity to discuss sensitive social issues in a safe space.
